Kids will be back to school tomorrow and it really seems like summer break was just yesterday! My mom retired from her school lunchroom job just this year, so this is the first time in 35 years that she doesn't have to get up to go make the cookies for the kids. I know the kids will miss grandma's cookies, she makes them from ...

The garden seems slow this year... only one tomato so far, I'm hoping for more of course. (We've have had a lot of rain this year.) I have picked a couple of nice batches of green beans. This little modern mini quilt is so simple to sew! Use your own half square triangles from a previous project or sitting in your stash.

No half square triangles lying about? That’s fine too- they are quick to sew up.

There are a couple of videos that will help you along as well. How to square up your half square triangles and how to bind the quilt using the backing fabric.
